Building The List

One of the most important aspects of your online business will be to create a list. A dedicated, pre-determined, pre-disposed group of people whom you contact on a consistent basis that want to hear from you for mutual benefit. It takes time to build and with every product or service that is on the market to help you build your list it would take too much of your time to discover them all. So, we wanted to key you in on some traditional techniques that are as relevant today as they've always been. I want us to name just a few in this article and we'll explore more as time goes by. Traditional Marketing: Event Hosting Co-op Advertising Co-op Marketing Partnering Event Hosting: By far, this has been the most successful for my business over the years because you have already come in contact with the people who will be on your list. They will have already spoken with you and been in contact with the products and/or services that you have to offer firsthand and face to face. So, they will develop a relationship with you that is unmatched because they have a face, name and place to relate to that will keep you all connected. Co-Op Advertising: Some will believe that Advertising and Marketing are the same thing, but they are two totally separate techniques that achieve results, but you achieve those results in Advertising in this way. In Advertising you have to walk potential clients through your process. You have to "set up" in their minds the "DRIVE" for them to do business with you. You have to ATTRACT them to you in different ways and that is what Advertising is. When you do it CO-OPeratively "with others" it helps to save you costs by everyone advertising together, but it also helps to get the message to the people. When more hands and minds are on deck to help spread the message, then you are sure to maximize the "man hours" spent on a campaign. Co-op Marketing: Now, this is where you are making sure to increase the VALUE of a product or service in the eyes of your potential clients. You will spend time developing campaigns or combining ideas on HOW TO increase value in the minds of those whom you want to reach out to. This may take time to do initially, but it is essential to your overall and long term success as who we call A MARKETER. When it is done cooperatively, then again your efforts coupled with others efforts maximize on the time and amount of people you can reach. Partnering: Overall this is the where good business comes into focus because it takes into consideration what we call "TEAM EFFORT"! Many times when we open a business, we tend to work in seclusion of others and sometimes that can be good, but to really make your business come to life you have to get out there with others. Bounce your ideas and theirs off your head and by all means try them out. Having a business, any business is IMPORTANT during these times where so much of the job market has been dissipated and curtailed. However, you don't have to do it alone and that's why we created this space for such an effort. To motivate yourself even on days when it feels like success is impossible is one of the most progressive things you can do at the outset of your business, but to keep going at it will require some interaction with others. Now, some of you may disagree, but it has worked more often than not for my business and I look forward to hearing from you on how these suggestions have helped you in your business.
