The Recession Never Was

Okay, for most of us the recession happened and in some cases, it's still happening. However, there are many people whom I have spoken with who felt a pinch, but adjusted and are now nursing that small wound. How did they do it?
1) They had a solid business plan
2) Took Action
3) Kept Going!

As BUSINESS OWNERS we have the authority to make the necessary changes that will help us either stay open or dissolve. It's not like a job where we are waiting to be laid off or given some kind of bad news that will shape the way we do things, but we are actually IN the driver's seat with the ability to make our businesses a top priority.
Just recently I was going over my sales and marketing plan of my overall business plan. Re-visiting some of the areas where I have made great strides while also digging for new information that I may have missed before.
Today I am embarking on testing with flyers.
I want to get the best message out to the right people and draw them to me rather than me waiting around or cold calling them to see if they're interested in anything I have.
Also, I am changing the website so that I can see if something else will help me get the leads I need.
Okay, that's it for today. Would love to hear from you!

Go Deeper Young Grasshopper...Go Deeper...

We are now here in the Spring of our existence after a tumultuous 2008.
I hope that we all are moving forward with our marketing plans, businesses and most of all MAKING MONEY! Over the past few months we have been revamping our sites, business approaches and of course testing and re-testing our services as well as our products.
What we learned over the past few months is to KEEP GOING! We learned that despite all of the economic woes and bad news that is so readily available we have the ability as business owners to ADJUST our plans. It is so vital to design a business plan that will weather the storms that will come against it and to remain resilient. Is your business plan like this? I hope so...
We developed a business plan nearly 8 years ago and since that time at least twice a year we re-visit that plan and see how it fits into the our overall business. While we may turn on the computers, phones, fax machines and doors to our business there is nothing that can replace our department that deals with our CUSTOMERS! They are the LIFEBLOOD of our business and it is here that I emphasize HOW MUCH OF YOUR BUSINESS PLAN IS DEDICATED TO LEAD GENERATION, CUSTOMER ACQUISITION & of course CUSTOMER SERVICE?
Today we have at our fingertips the internet whereas days gone by we only had at our disposal telephones, the door to door system and other resources which almost made our businesses a local business. Now, with the internet we have a much further reach.
So, as we look deeper at our business plans let us look into our #1 service....PEOPLE!

It's What You Offer

So here we are....3 months into this new year and it seems that the economy is in the toilet (to say the least) and we are on the brink of closing all kinds of businesses.

We should all be rest assured that staying in business is the ONLY way to fight in this battle so we've got at our disposal one another to do business with in this new age of innovation!

Have you ever noticed the Amish? They have an economy that is strong and with limited dependence on the "outside" world. They buy, sell, barter and trade with one another in a way that we (on the outside) now have to pay attention to.

I was reminded last night while listening to one of my most brilliant mentors that our problem is not credit (in terms of money), but credit in terms of our CREDIBILITY. When we do shoddy business and expect to be paid for what we haven't done, then our credit (credibility) goes in the can.

When we learn to do business with each other and go for quality, then we never have to worry about our "CREDIT (Credibility)" in any business. Doing good business is not just what you offer, but also how you offer it and most of all offering good products and good services.....

A Gigantic Leap or A Step?

Hoping that your Thanksgiving Weekend was nothing sure of awesome here is one of our guest bloggers. Coming to you live from the financial capital of the world...New York here's Ms. Nicole Gentry. I first met Nicole a few years back and have never regretted a single moment because like all of us she is a TOP NOTCH MARKETER! So, my short introduction should be your clue as to how important her message to you all is today.......Nicole?

Good Morning Everyone,

O.K. You’ve attended the best business seminars. You’ve read the best books on self-improvement, businesses start-ups etc. You’ve gone to bed late nights because you were on teleconference calls. You’ve spent $9.99, $19.99 and $29.99 over and over and over again purchasing various programs for your business success.

It’s time, you’ve decided. Regardless of any and all negativity, criticism, anxiety, the nightly news reports, a republican or democratic president, the stock market, the naysayers, “I am going to Step outside of my comfort zone. I am going to do something for myself.” Great. Applaud yourself! Most people haven’t and never will make this decision. But guess what? There are others who have decided to do something for themselves too. While you’ve decided to take A Step outside your comfort zone they’ve decided to take A Gigantic Leap outside theirs. With this attitude not only will they Leap pass you they may knock you over and out.

Why A Gigantic Leap and not A Step? Chances are you’ve been in this so-called comfort zone for a long long time. In this so-called comfort zone at a certain point you’ve come to realize that it’s a place of total and complete discomfort. Whether you openly admit it or not you’ve probably experienced unnecessary pains, continuous set backs, shame, unhappiness, disappointments, guilt feelings, poor health, a lack of gratitude, enthusiasm, courage, opportunities for growth and development, loss of friendships in various walks of life, money, peace of mind, an opportunity for a stable home, real love and self respect.

Why A Gigantic Leap and not A Step? For some taking A Step would be like a walk on a pond that on the surface looks as if it’s frozen until they take that fatal step and wind up at the bottom. Taking A Step, when the winds of challenge begin to blow will likely hurl you back and deeper into your so-called comfort zone.

By taking A Gigantic Leap you will move abruptly to new thoughts and actions. By taking A Gigantic Leap your new thoughts and actions will increase in frequency and size. A Gigantic Leap will propel you up and over your obstacles. No longer will you experience the bottom of anything. You’ll be repositioned. From a different view, different thoughts, feelings and actions begin to emerge. Even if you wanted to you couldn’t Step anywhere any longer. A Step would be too small an action for you. By taking A Gigantic Leap out of your so-called comfort zone you’ll increase your capacity to take on more and more. Take on bigger and bigger. Feelings of lack, pain and loss have no choice except to vanish.

You decide. A Gigantic Leap or A Step?
___________________________________________________________________
Can I afford to remain in my so-called comfort zone? What would this cost me?

Can I afford to return to my so-called comfort zone? What would this cost me?

Will I achieve all that I dream of in my so-called comfort zone?

Are you prepared to take A Gigantic Leap? If not, explain why.

The Truth About NO SOLICITING And How To Get Around It To Prospect

Hello Everyone!

As marketers we are always confronted in one way or another with potential clients/customers with this message. From a person's body language and often through their signage.

I wanted to share with you one of the ways that I am learning to use.

It's called, "FAX BACK MARKETING". Now, many of us may not have thought to use the fax machine except to send our message out, but what if there were a technique that you could use to get people to fax you instead with their inquiry.

This is how it works:
*You just walk into the target businesses with a one sheet double sided message.
*On one side is your advertisement
*On the other side is your fax back form with 5 or 6 lines on it that they will fill out and send back to you. (1. Name of their business; 2. Their telephone #; 3. The best time for you to call them back; 4. Type of business; 5. (If you sell multiple items ask what they are interested in; 6. What you offer

You simply walk in and hand that to them and walk out. SIMPLE PLAN.
They are bound to read your sales piece and make a decision. Either to throw it away (which in the end will save you alot of time, money and energy because you will take them off of your "COLD" list) or they will keep it and call or fax you back.

Remember, keep a list of the businesses that you have already reached out to so that you will know which you went to and whether or not to go back.

Also if you look up the word solicit in the dictionary you will see that nothing we just revealed to you denotes its definition.

What The Great Depression Taught Us...

Good Morning To Everyone!

2008 and we're on the brink of another depression in America. However, there are some lessons to learn since the news broke in the late 1920's through 30's. My grandmother (God rest her soul) was an insightful woman who taught us some lessons about business since she lived through "The Great Depression".

On the brink of her 20's this depression hit and like most budding 20 year olds the spirit of entrepreneurship was on her mind. Grandma kept that spirit alive even in the midst of great turmoil and through that she persevered.

She opened a business in the house and rented out the extra bedrooms which made her have an income during the worse of times. It was her thinking that in order to make money a person should look at "practical" options. Provide something that people need and you will NEVER go broke. In other words, "Find A Need And Fill It".

In the end, grandma owned a business for over 40 years and taught us another golden rule. "For any business that you own see if you can do it from home. That way you won't have to pay two rents. Or, own the building that your business is in."

The lesson I am now learning is that we all have a chance in this present economy to go into business for ourselves if we just have the desire, tools and most of all the will to make it happen.

Here's one tool to get you started:

One Way To Uncover Wealth ONLINE & The TOOLS to do it!

Good Morning Everyone and Welcome BACK!
We were having a discussion the other day on what are some of the ways to create wealth online. UNANIMOUSLY we narrowed it down to MLM. Now, before you stop reading I want you to consider this...

If you had the tools to become massively wealthy in the economic conditions that we are living in at this time would you consider taking a look at those tools?

If you had the right kind of system to put in place that would ultimately bring you out of the DEBT OF DARKNESS or the DARKNESS OF DEBT however way you think of it. Would you look at the TOOLS to get yourself on the wealth producing track?

Well, without belaboring the point on ONE Way to uncover wealth online and the tools to do it I will just leave one of the most compelling of all tools for you to use:
