Claude Hopkins The Father of Scientific Advertising

Good Day Everyone!
Maybe you've heard of him or maybe not, but I want to shed some light on this man who has and continues to inspire some of the best men and women in the world of advertising, marketing and sales.

Claude Hopkins became one of the most important men to uncover the understanding that advertising is in fact a science. Written during the 1920's, his book, "Scientific Advertising" revolutionized how salesmen at the time appealed to their customers.

Now, it may not be important to note, but as America was in the throes of the "INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION" when he was born it stands true that the countless men and women who became outstanding in the field of sales would adopt his thinking in order to take the world by storm with American made products.

An economically robust America meant competition and he, Claude Hopkins, being the father of the thought of advertising as a science would transform American business.

It wasn't until this man got his readers to get into the customer's mind and relate to their thinking by telling the stories of their companies were they able to outsell their competition. It is a theme that exists until today.

In short, he got us thinking more about telling how much our products and services will benefit our clients and customers and then relating to them with what we have.
